Thomaspaul - Luddite Tray
The word Luddite refers to a movement in the early nineteenth century by a group of British textile artists who protested the changes brought to their industry by the Industrial Revolution, often they destroyed mechanical looms, which they felt were taking work away from themselves. Subsequently the word has come to mean someone who is against technology and prefers to do things the old fashioned way. The items in this collection are inspired by this idea of turning back the clock and focusing on a simpler way of living.
